Income tax applies as follows:
• Public Treasury: Applicable to every person residing in Lebanon or abroad.
• Private Treasury: Applicable to every person residing in Lebanon, as well as to any person residing abroad in return for services performed in Lebanon.

• Comprehensive information on what tax is and its legal concept
• Understanding the contractual relationship between the employee and the employer
• Definition of the nature of employment based on job title and types of work
• Determination of salary and types of wages
• Detailed explanation of taxable amounts and categories of taxable persons
• Breakdown of tax-exempt amounts and the legal justification for exemptions
• Allowable deductions, benefits, and job-related expenses permitted under Lebanese law
• Detailed explanation of the mechanism for processing Second Schedule (Category II) income tax, including special cases
• Treatment of salary increases above the new official minimum wage
• Treatment of salaries paid in foreign currencies and their impact on First Schedule (Category I) income tax
